Another thing you must consider is the color of the meat. The color of the beef and the lamb meat must be cherry red. For pork, it must have a pale color. Ground beef may have a red color on the outside with a purplish inside. If these are the colors of the meat, then it means it is good because it is exposed to only a small amount of oxygen. For vacuum-packed cuts, it is alright to have a dark color. The last thing you can do to check how fresh the meat it, you must press the meat. After pressing it should immediately spring right back.
